When I feel grand
they call it delusion
shortly after clarity
is a season of confusion
Now i understand though
its like a circle of life
every morning a new day
and at the end another night.
What I want most of all
is to see that smile.
You know the one you had
the day she called.
And to hear the excitement
in your voice again
like when you say his name.
If I hold you will it heal your pain?
K. says I shouldn't compare.
but I just want to know we're there,
in what the scientist calls a compound,
I don't want to come back down.
smiles. i dont know if i would want to come back down either...but i do like seeing hte smiles...
ReplyDelete"We the speakers of our time"...think the addition of the video to this post was awesome, and the read fantastic. Simple, approachable, and I don't want to come down either!
ReplyDelete"shortly after clarity
ReplyDeleteis a season of confusion..." leads into the second circular stanza very well. The video primes the reader for a great poem that seems to pull one back from outer space through earthly wonders of voice and smiles.
I think I prefer space, but it's about time the governing bodies planted their feet in solid ground and opened their minds x Thanks Theron
ReplyDeleteThe things one would do to see that smile.. no?!
ReplyDeleteYour words, even by themselves, say it all too well...
And then the video you attached really gives some added perspective...
Good one... and yes, there is no coming back down... once there...
