I Dream of a Place Where

Photo by Shanique Wright on Unsplash

I dream of a place where
we forgive each other
with the knowledge that
none of us are innocent

I dream of a place where
we all live together
forgetful of offenses
and fences

I dream of a place where
you and I are U and Eye
A place with sight
where the only color
is the blue flame of love

I dream of a place where
you want to sit near me
truly know me
truly be known
Is it so Unthinkable?

  1. This is wonderful! So many share this dream, yet we have fostered an environment where those that do are regarded as outcasts...OneWorld, OneLove...perhaps it is too simple a concept? ;)

  3. It's a wonderful dream, and not unthinkable, we move towards it slowly, with each word.

  4. I dream of a place too, where there is wisdom, strength and beauty, enough to recreate our world and people, in peace and harmony. If we can dream it, we can make it reality! Your words ring like a crystal bell through the ethers Theron!

  5. What Roger said...if you can dream it then anything is possible. And there are many of us who find this totally thinkable! :-)

  6. Strong piece. Dreams are such powerful vehicles for understanding, connecting the unconscious self to the conscious self, in code, yes, but wanting to be explored, needing for the conscious self to believe, to bear credence to what potential is deep within, if only we opened completely to the meanings of our dreams. If so, then possibility and promise can shift to a new place of power. Love that you choice dreams as your vehicle. And the video you posted on the other link, not a fan of the genre, but the importance of message cannot be denied. Thanks for providing thoughtful contributions.

The 5 People Who Make Life Heaven

On Killer Mike's new album Michael

I'm sorry to hear about Killer Mike's loss and the struggles of his family members. It takes courage to share these personal experiences with the world through music . Regarding his critical acclaim, it is important to recognize that mainstream media often fail to recognize and uplift voices from marginalized communities. These voices are often overlooked or condemned to the margins because it challenges the status quo and the dominant narrative . If you listen to Killer Mike's music, I hope you approach it with an open mind and an appreciation for his willingness to speak truth to power. I would hope that his message would inspire listeners to examine their own lives and the systems that contribute to inequality and oppression. In the fight for justice and equity, we need diverse voices to be heard and amplified. We must uplift and
